In Other News...

Awesome run yesterday. Breathing is KEY, folks. Oh, and ignoring your entire body (easier to do if music is blaring through your head).

And I do like Saucony. At first my feet were a tad numb (yikes), but loosen the laces a bit and they're good to go. The cushioning on the bottoms is really excellent for my crinkly-crackly knees.

I got some new Brooks kicks. I love 'em too. Anything with lots of cushion for the knees is good for me! Oh, and I just want to tell you...it helps SO SO SO SO SOOO much to have a running partner. Serious. I've come to a whole new level! :)

Hmmm, I have to disagree about the running partner. Maybe I'm just an insecure wimp, but I don't want to feel bad when I need to take a quick walking break. Or be slowed down by someone who needs one when I don't. Isn't it hard to find someone who is compatible? How did you find someone, Jess?

I can see what you're saying, Kristen. I really lucked out by finding a new buddy to run with. She is a former runner, but hadn't been running in about 2 years. We seem to be at the exact same level. Some days she pushes me more and other days I push her. It's a great balance. I just know (from experience) that I desperately needed someone else to keep me motivated and accountable. It's been great! Oh, and I found her by making my facebook status, "Jessica needs a workout partner." Worked like a charm!
