Molly, On Recycling

WARNING: This is gross. Really, truly gross.

Yesterday and today, I've caught Molly eating her poop. I don't know about you, but that makes me SICK. And it makes her breath unbelievably disgusting.

I called the vet, thinking maybe it's some Doggie Internal Sensor going off, causing her to think this is necessary. "Dogs eat grass when their tummies hurt, right?"

"Not necessarily."

"THEN WHY IS SHE EATING HER POOP?"

"Because it sounds good."

[I paused.] "That sounds good?"

"Yeah, my dog used to do it too. It's just a bad habit. You can buy this stuff called Forbid that will make their poop taste bad."

[Again, I paused.] "So it tastes good now?"

"I guess."

"Oh my word."

"I know, right?"

Seeing Molly do that, I nearly threw up on my shoes. But then she'd probably eat that, too.
